We are looking for:
Byron Shire Council is currently seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic Multi Skilled Plant operators. The Multi Skilled Plant Operator position plays a key role in providing a high level of service in the construction and maintenance of Councils’ Infrastructure.
Primarily seeking truck drivers and excavator operators. Applicants that operate a array of machinery within accredited licence requirements are encouraged to also apply. Plant operation experience may include but is not limited to excavator, loader, grader, backhoe, low loader/float, tipper truck, prime mower, crane truck operators. Some specific competencies include:
· Operate major plant and trucks and hold the required Safework tickets / Licences.
· Maintain major plant and trucks in accordance manufacture specification.
· Effectively work within a team to achieve agreed outcomes and a positive work environment.
· Effectively lead and motivate staff.
· Completing work activities daily with the flexibility to adjust to meet changing priorities.
· Being self-motivated and showing initiative in the delegated areas of responsibility.
· Interpersonal skills to deal courteously with staff and members of the public, providing a high level of customer service.
· Applying Work Health and Safety practices to minimise risk and ensure safe work practices are adopted in the workplace.
· Provide excellent customer service and delivery quality service outcomes.

This opportunity offers:
- A permanent full-time position (76-hour, 9-day fortnight).
- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,068.29 to $1,237.77 plus applicable allowances per 34/42 hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location:
This position is based at Byron Depot, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
