We are offering a Trainee position to join our Children’s Services team at Sandhills Early Childhood Centre. The successful candidates will have completed Year 10 to Year 12, have an interest in early childhood education and motivation to learn and participate within the educating team of a quality early childhood Service. This is a wonderful opportunity for initiating a career of choice and diversity within Education.

You will work with a team of exceptional educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning framework.  Our centre welcomes children from 0-5 years and we are looking for educators for all age groups. 

We operate 8am – 6pm, 50 weeks per year in the heart of Byron Bay in a beautiful setting.

We have to offer: 

  • Traineeship position (Workplace or School Based)
  • On-the-job training with formal study to provide you skills and experience
  • Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a Trainee Wage in the range of $347.10 to $706.00 per 35-hour week (dependent upon age and level of schooling attained).

This position is based at Sandhills Early Childhood Centre - Byron Bay, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
