We are looking for:
Byron Shire Council is currently seeking a Project Officer. This role is a great opportunity to deliver a high level of project delivery services in the planning, design and construction of Council infrastructure.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications variously in Building Certification, Project Management, Building Construction, Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
- Experience in the management of local government project delivery or the equivalent in another sector of significant projects greater than one million dollars.
- Demonstrated high level procurement and contract management skills and experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work with the community, committees, government agencies and contractors with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
We offer:
- A maximum term, full- time position (35 hours per week) to December 2027.

- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,944.80 to $2,253.34 per 35 hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location:
This position is based at Mullumbimby however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
